Water Management Solutions UK Ltd was appointed by Topps Tiles to work on a project investigating annual water and effluent charges. This was with a view of reducing ongoing costs and recovering overcharges within their water utilities over recent years.

After a detailed analysis of the water billing and gaining a detailed understanding of site operations this started to reveal a wide range of issues, some inherently embedded into the tariff mechanism for many years.

WMS UK were able to deconstruct the charging mechanisms and were then able to correct these over charges thus significantly lowering the annual spend on water and effluent significantly.

Additionally, WMS UK managed to negotiate significant refunds for several estates across Scotland.

The whole project was a great success with a positive cash outcome for Topps Tiles  leading to more manageable and lower water tariffs into the future.
